Come in from the Rain captures that wonderful feeling of coming home to warmth and comfort after a rainy day. Through the open arched doorway, a freshly baked loaf of sourdough rests on the old wooden table, surrounded by the quiet details of a well-loved kitchen. Outside, ivy climbs the weathered stone walls, rain darkens the flagstones, and boots wait beside pots of garden flowers.
I painted the cooler, rain-softened exterior against the golden light of the kitchen to make the open doorway feel especially inviting—the kind of place that makes you want to step inside and stay awhile.
